Three new soundtracks added to the already amazing Retro Game Music Bundle (Updated)

There’s still about six days left to pick up your Retro Game Music Bundle, which has just added three additional soundtracks to its already robust lineup. If the prospect of “adding to” a lineup that already consists of Duke Nukem 3D, Jazz Jackrabbit 1 and 2, Myst, Stargunner and 7th Guest doesn’t pique your interests, then there may be no pleasing you.

We’ve covered these Game Music Bundles before, so by now everyone should sort of know how they work. Basically, $1 gets you a bunch of soundtracks. $10 or more gets you even more soundtracks. What makes the Retro Game Music Bundle special is that not only does it feature some never-before-released game soundtracks, but the GMB team went to great lengths to put it together.

The story on how the Retro Game Music Bundle was conceived and put together can be read here at GMB Blog. It’s quite an amazing story done by fans of game music, for fans of game music.

As usual with past Game Music Bundles, there is a healthy smattering of indie game soundtracks, and this bundle is no different. Often inspired by the retro games of yore, these indie game soundtracks fit right in with the never-before-released soundtracks in this bundle.

So, as of now, $1 gets you:

  • 7/11: 7th Guess and 11th Hour Original Soundtrack by The Fat Man and Team Fat
  • Duke Nukem 3D: Original Soundtrack by Lee Jackson, Bobby Prince
  • Myst: The Soundtrack by Robyn Miller
  • Jazz Jackrabbit 1 & 2 by Robert A. Allen, Alexander Brandon
  • Tyrian by Alexander Brandon

The second tier of $10 or more unlocks:

  • NUKEM: Duke 3D Remixes by Various Artists
  • Shadow Warrior: Original Soundtrack by Lee Jackson
  • Duke Nukem II: Original Soundtrack by Bobby Prince
  • Wacky Wheels: Original Soundtrack by Mark Klem
  • Major Stryker: Original Soundtrack by Bobby Prince
  • Stargunner: Original Soundtrack by Lee Jackson
  • Cosmo’s Cosmic Adventure: Original Soundtrack by Bobby Prince
  • Jazz Jackrabbit 3 by Alexander Brandon
  • Double Dragon Neon by virt
  • Alter Ego Dreamwalker OST by coda
  • Edge by Various Artists
  • Magnetis – Original Game Soundtrack by Romain Gauthier
  • Lava Blade by Joshua Morse

And the three newly added soundtracks:

  • Nimble Quest by Whitaker Trebella
  • Potatoman Seeks The Troof OST by Pixeljam
  • Pixel Perfect Micro by halc

What are you waiting for, Christmas? You know what to do.

UPDATE: Several albums have recently been removed due to copyright issues and other parties claiming rights to certain songs featured on this bundle, according to the Game Music Bundle Blog. The removed soundtracks are Duke Nukem 3D, Duke Nukem II, Major Stryker, Cosmo’s Cosmic Adventure, and the NUKEM 3D: Remixes album. Sadly, there is no word if these albums will be restored any time soon or at all. For more details, check out the GMB Blog and check back here for more updates on this development.
